On the road to Orthez, the birthplace of Gaston Fébus, and on the Compostela routes, the Ferme de Jouanbayle produces spirulina, an algae with medical properties. The owner Deborah is a qualified biochemist and nutritionist and is so convinced of the benefits offered by spirulina, that she decided to start producing her own. The algae is grown, harvested and processed on site in order to guarantee optimum conservation and high nutritional values. It is guaranteed to be free of pesticides, additives or GMO’s. Spirulina is a natural food stuff which can help reinforce the immune system and is suitable for all ages. The farm is open to visitors and the production process is very interesting.
