Ferme Pakucha

LUCQ-DE-BEARN

In Lucq-de-Béarn, between Monein and Pau, Ferme Pakucha, which means "little alpaca" in Quechua, comprises 12 hectares of land bordered by two natural streams. Alpacas rub shoulders with cashmere goats, chickens and bees. You'll also find a hectare of AOP Jurançon vines, as well as a young organic orchard with many ancient varieties of Pyrenean fruit.
A guided tour of around 1 hour is offered to discover the different herds (male alpacas, female alpacas and cashmere goats), in a gentle atmosphere. You'll learn about the daily lives of these superb animals, and how the noble fibers they produce are processed. Curious but fearful, they'll win you over at first sight.
A real discovery for young and old alike!
The farm is also available for half-day events.
