The French poet Francis Jammes who was also a novelist, dramatist and critics lived here from 1897 to 1907. It was in this house that he wrote:”De l’Angélus de l’aube à l’Angélus du soir”, “Clara d’Ellébeuse”,” le Deuil des primevères”, “Almaïde d’Etremont”,” le Romain du lièvre”, “Pomme d’anis”.
Since its formation, the association has received an important gift from the Jammes’ family: manuscripts, correspondence, books, sheet music, photographs, illustrated books etc.
Opening Hours:From 12 January to 10 July: Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. From 13 July to 30 October: From Tuesdays to Saturday from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. From 2 November to 18 December: Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
The use of the mask is mandatory.
