Do you like a good walk? We recommend that you start your day from Cuqueron. This hour and a half circuit takes to the sunny hilltops covered in steep slopes of vines and here and there imposing old farms. Here at the very heart of the Jurançon winegrowing area you'll find yourself coming across some of the most prestigious names. Throughout this walk you have an uninterrupted view of the Pyrénées and the village of Monein. Round off your morning perfectly with a visit to a vineyard to get an appetite for lunch.
Lunching in Monein’s traditional restaurants or those with "Maître Restaurateur" or "Assiettes de Pays" labels. In the Cœur de Béarn we eat well !!
Off to Orthez to visit the Moncade Castle, 110 metres high and the tallest point in the whole town. Its keep offers an exceptional panorama over Orthez and the Béarnais architecture with its hipped roofs and its Genoise cornices. You'll be able to look down into the secret gardens of the town which are usually only seen by passing birds! History is enthroned by the ever spectacular Pyrénées in all seasons.
