The property is in Monein, a Béarnaise village in the heart of the Jurançon AOC region. The village church, is unique in France; it has a wooden frame in the shape of a double hull of an upturned ship, and is a classified historic monument. The cottage is located on the edge of Monein, next to sports facilities, playgrounds and the municipal swimming pool.
Situated in a completely restored Béarnaise barn, this holiday rental has retained all the charm of the original building. It is ideal for large families or groups of friends, and there are numerous things to do and see in the area as well as hiking and wine tastings
There are two craft workshops close by, “The Image Mineuse”, a framing and laminating workshop, and “Amma terre”, a ceramics workshop. Guided tours of the church are organised by the local tourist office and the Jurançon wine estates are open to wine lovers.
