The Pyrenean mountains were “rediscovered” in the 19th century.
Long considered inhospitable, they became a remarkable terrain for exploration and scientific study. Émilien Frossard was one of the pioneers in this field. Through his drawings, cartographic surveys, and publications, he helped reshape the way people viewed the mountains. Today, what remains of his legacy?
