The route develops north of the Grécq lake on the ridges bordering the watershed. The landscape openings towards Orthez or the Pyrenees alternate with forest and shaded passages. It is a very old route that the pilgrims of Compostelle took and which connected Tarbelli (Latin name for Dax) to Orthez by the line of the crests.
