Castillon d'Arthez is a small rural village close to Arthez de Béarn; the Compostela Puy route goes through the centre of the village. Délices de veau is a small scale veal farm with Red Label status, situated in rolling pastureland. The owner, Philippe, has used all of the knowledge handed down from generation to generation to ensure that the calves are raised with their mothers. This type of traditional meat production is very usual in south west France and allows for a healthy mother / calf relationship. Every calf born on the farm is looked after with great care and attention and gets to feed from its mother two or three times a day at set times. This ensures a high quality eventual meat product. The farm also produces mutton.
