This beautiful 18th-century Béarnaise house was inhabited by the poet, novelist, playwright and critic from 1897 to 1907. It was in this house that he wrote "De l'Angélus de l'aube à l'Angélus du soir", Clara d'Ellébeuse and many others.
Manuscripts, correspondence, books, music scores, photos and illustrated books give you a better understanding of the poet's life and work... This collection is supplemented by other acquisitions and donations over the years. Exhibitions: "Francis Jammes et Orthez au temps de la Maison Chrestia", "Centenaire des Livres des Quatrains de Francis Jammes" and "Des oiseaux de Francis Jammes" with watercolors by Lucette Julien.
