This beautiful 18th-century Béarnaise house was inhabited by poet Francis Jammes from 1897 to 1907. Inside, exhibits and paintings help you learn more about the poet's life and work. A bookshop and a large collection of manuscripts at the Médiathèque are available to researchers. The collection has been digitized and is available via the digital exhibition "Francis Jammes, Poète" on Francis-jammes.pireneas.fr. Maison Chrestia has been awarded the "Maison des Illustres" label.
