Rather than representing reality, the aim is to perceive landscapes, flowers and skies through the eye, but also through the sensitivity of the moment, and to bring out a unique presence that the watercolorist creates by playing with transparencies and the subtlety of pigments and water on the sheet of paper. What a journey.
