A weekend, two days and a night for two with a Jurançon wine producer
The morning
Your day starts with a visit to Orthez market, meeting local producers. It's an opportunity to make up your picnic basket with 100% local products! Seasonal fruit and vegetables, meats and cheeses. This market which has a long tradition is frequented throughout the year by the local inhabitants. It is in the historic heart of Orthez from which the Moncade tower, which dominates the town, can be seen.
Lunchtime
Just 10 minutes by car and you're at the Orthez-Biron Leisure Centre for lunch. Set in an extensive forested area, picnic tables and playing areas are side-by-side allowing children to play in complete safety. Have a siesta whilst your children throw themselves at the Tyrolean and experience a thousand new adventures before the afternoon swim.
Afternoon
It's time to have a splash... so we're off to the beach with lifeguard surveillance. For the children: swimming, pedalos, water toboggans and Aquazone. For mum and dad, freshwater swimming and sunbathing on fine sand. Meet up again for an ice cream on the terrace overlooking the lake. You've still got some energy left? The more sporty amongst you can learn to waterski and those of a more contemplative turn can take in a walk around the lake on shaded walkways.
We offer a "Jurançon Gourmet Weekend" package which is ideal as an introduction to Jurançon wines and vineyards. For lovers of regional gastronomy come and fall in love with ours. To introduce you to the secrets of Jurançon winemaking, a winemaker will show you around his domaine with of course wine tasting.
